The suit claims an MRI performed on Mr. Rodriguez Oct. 11, 2012, revealed an injured hip joint, an injury New York-Presbyterian physician Christopher Ahmad, MD, did not mention to Mr. Rodriguez, according to the report. Dr. Ahmad, who also serves as the Yankees team physician, then cleared Mr. Rodriguez to play, allegedly resulting in further injury.
New York-Presbyterian declined to comment on the pending litigation, according to the report.
