New Hanover Regional Medical Center COO Matthew Heywood to Leave

New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, N.C., announced that its executive vice president and COO Matthew Heywood is leaving his post to serve as president and CEO of Wasau, Wis.-based Aspirus, effective July 1, according to a Greater Wilmington Business Journal report.

Mr. Heywood has served as COO of the medical center since January 2008, according to the report.
