Mid-October saw several nursing leaders step into CEO roles at hospitals and health systems.
Here are six recent appointments previously reported by Becker’s:
- Tracie Stratton, MSN, RN, will become CEO of Lovelace Women’s Hospital and Lovelace Westside Hospital, both in Albuquerque, N.M., effective Nov. 15. Ms. Stratton previously served as CEO of Los Alamos (N.M.) Medical Center for the past four years.
- USA Health in Mobile, Ala., tapped Natalie Fox, DNP, as CEO after she served in interim status for four months. Dr. Fox was previously executive director of academic physician practices and chief nursing officer at the three-hospital system.
- New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health appointed Kerri Scanlon, MSN, RN, as executive vice president and president of the system’s eastern market. She most recently served as president of Northwell’s Glen Cove, Syosset and Plainview hospitals. Ms. Scanlon was previously Northwell’s deputy CNO.
- On Oct. 15, Tonya Price, MSN, RN, was named interim CEO of Wilbarger General Hospital in Vernon, Texas. Ms. Price most recently served as interim CNO.
- Stacey Kuzak, MSN, RN, became interim CEO of the John C. Fremont Healthcare District on Oct. 15. The district operates a critical access hospital in Mariposa, Calif. Ms. Kuzak formerly served as director of quality and rural health clinics, and before that, was the nursing director.
- A third nursing leader was named hospital CEO Oct. 15. Gretchen Nichols, BSN, RN, became president and CEO of Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay, Ore., that day, after serving as hospital COO.
