Palo Alto, Calif.-based Stanford Medicine Children’s Health has appointed Keith Morse, MD, as chief medical informatics officer, effective Oct. 1.
Dr. Morse has been part of the Stanford Medicine Children’s Health community for more than seven years, having served as a pediatric hospitalist, clinical associate professor of pediatric hospital medicine and program director of its clinical informatics fellowship, according to an Oct. 1 news release.
In his new role, he will continue to oversee the fellowship while also leading efforts to incorporate artificial intelligence and informatics into clinical operations. His focus will include improving patient outcomes, supporting clinical staff and informing leadership decisions through data-driven strategies.
He has also played a role in leading Stanford’s participation in PEDSnet, an 11-site research network focused on pediatric health across the U.S.
