Georgia hospital taps chief medical officer

Dalton, Ga.-based Hamilton Medical Center, part of Vitruvian Health, named Ricardo Perez, DO, chief medical officer.

Dr. Perez stepped into his new role in August. He oversees clinical quality and performance improvement, medical staff services, accreditation, hospitalists and intensivists, according to a Sept. 10 hospital news release.

Previously, he served as regional chief of hospital medicine at Jefferson Health-East Region in Stratford, N.J.
