HCA taps former Subway global CEO as independent director

Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare has named John Chidsey III as an independent director, effective July 15. 

Prior to his new role, Mr. Chidsey served as the global CEO of Subway. He also served as CEO of Burger King Holdings, according to a July 11 news release.

In his new role, Mr. Chidsey will also serve as a member of HCA’s audit and compliance, compensation, and patient safety and quality of care committees.
