New York City-based Mount Sinai has named Debra Jaeger, MSN, RN, as the system’s first chief revenue officer.
In her new role, Ms. Jaeger aims to “eradicate silos, elevate the best talent across the health system and improve communications” among the people and groups involved in the revenue cycle, according to a post on Mount Sinai’s website. She is responsible for integrating revenue cycle operations across the system, including registration, authorization, health information management, coding and documentation.
Ms. Jaeger joins Mount Sinai from Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Health Network, where she served for four years as the system’s chief revenue officer. She previously served as vice president of clinical revenue cycle at King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services.
She is trained as a clinical care and emergency nurse and practiced clinically alongside her finance responsibilities until 2019.
