The two companies will integrate ZingBox’s IoT security solution with the VMware Pulse IoT Center, an IoT infrastructure management solution.
The ZingBox solution uses machine learning to assess security risk according to an organization’s typical behavior. Under the agreement, ZingBox will also establish acceptable activities and behaviors based on rules within the VMware Pulse IoT Center.
The companies’ goal is to detect abnormal or unsafe activities across the organization’s IoT footprint, including software, hardware, network and user access.
“Our collaboration will enable IT and [operational technology] leaders to increase overall vendor/solution credibility, particularly in manufacturing, retail and healthcare,” said Xu Zou, co-founder and CEO of ZingBox.
