Here are three things to know.
1. Mr. Modica, who will also serve as BJC’s vice president, has 19 years of experience as a security leader. He most recently served as vice president of global client security at Equifax. He has also held information services leadership positions at Express Scripts and Edward Jones Investments.
2. As CISO, Mr. Modica will manage information security across the BJC enterprise and lead a 32-person information security team. He will plan and implement IT systems, business operations and facility defenses to protect against security vulnerabilities.
3. Mr. Modica holds a bachelor of science in industrial technology from Cape Girardeau-based Southeast Missouri State University, now serving on the university’s cybersecurity advisory committee He also sits on the St. Louis CISO board and the SecureWorld St. Louis steering committee.
