MEDNAX is one of the largest medical groups in the country, and Dr. Grichnik plays a critical role in directing the group’s quality and safety programs for all of the physicians, nurse practitioners and other healthcare providers in MEDNAX practices across the nation. Dr. Grichnik spent 22 years as a physician and leader at Duke University in Durham in N.C. There, she directed the Center of Educational Excellence at the Duke Clinical Research Center, where she sought to integrate a comprehensive approach to clinical science education. Dr. Grichnik also helped facilitate the certification of TeamSTEPPS, a patient safety program initiated by the U.S. Department of Defense.
