14 latest hospital, health system executive moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves were reported by Becker's Hospital Review in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Longtime San Joaquin Valley (Calif.) regional healthcare administrator and Sutter Health's Central Valley Region president David Benn plans to retire in January.

2. Great Plains Health in North Platte, Neb., appointed of Ivan Mitchell senior vice president of development.

3. Albert Wright was named COO of Morgantown-based West Virginia University Medicine.

4. Colt Hatcher was named CEO of Weatherford (Texas) Rehabilitation Hospital.

5. The University of Connecticut named Andrew Agwunobi, MD, executive vice president for health affairs and CEO of Farmington-based UConn Health.

6. Kerry Watson, president of Newton (Mass.)-Wellesley Hospital, stepped down from his position Nov. 30.

7. Al Campbell was named COO of Oxon Hill, Md.-based Nexus Health and Fort Washington (Md.) Medical Center.

8. Rome (N.Y.) Memorial Hospital named Wendy Goetz administrator of its skilled nursing facility.

9. John Rossfeld, CEO of The Memorial Hospital at Craig (Colo.), submitted his resignation.

10. CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn., named Larry Schumacher, MSN, CEO, effective Jan. 4.

11. Mark Newton, president and CEO of Chicago-based Swedish Covenant Hospital, is leaving his post to become vice chairman of the Swedish Covenant Hospital Foundation.

12. Deborah Heart & Lung Center, a specialty heart, lung and vascular hospital in Browns Mills, N.J., named Richard Temple vice president and CIO.

13. NYC Health + Hospitals, New York City's public health system, appointed Plachikkat Anantharam CFO.

14. Dean Mazzoni was named president and CEO of Franciscan St. Anthony Health-Michigan City (Ind.).
