St. Louis-based Ascension has appointed Donna Wagner, MSN, RN, as chief nursing and operating officer of Ascension St. Vincent’s St. Johns County.
Ms. Wagner will bring more than three decades of experience in nursing leadership, clinical operations and education to the role, according to a Sept. 28 news release shared with Becker’s. The St. Johns, Fla., hospital features a primary stroke center and is constructing a 28,000-square-foot labor and delivery tower expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
Ms. Wagner most recently served as vice president of cardiovascular and critical care services at HCA Florida Memorial Center in Jacksonville, which is part of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare. Ascension and HCA Healthcare are among the largest hospital systems in the U.S., with 118 and 189 hospitals each, respectively.
