Central Florida hospitals have more than 2k job openings: 4 things to know

Four hospital systems in Central Florida collectively have more than 2,000 clinical and non-clinical job openings, according to an Orlando Business Journal report.

Here are four things to know about where the jobs are, as stated in the report.

1. Orlando-based Florida Hospital, part of Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System, told the Orlando Business Journal its facilities in Lake, Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties collectively are hiring for about 1,500 positions.

2. Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America has 273 openings at four of its hospitals in Central Florida, a majority of which are at Sanford-based Central Florida Regional Hospital and at Kissimmee-based Osceola Regional Medical Center. There are also a few positions up for grabs at Florida Surgery Center in Altamonte Springs, at HCA's ambulatory surgery division office in Orlando and at Oviedo (Fla.) Medical Center, which is scheduled to open in 2017.

3. Orlando (Fla.) Health has about 200 job openings across its eight hospitals, according to the report, which cites the system's website.

4. Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems has 171 jobs collectively that are open at St. Cloud (Fla.) Regional Medical Center, Lake Wales (Fla.) Medical Center and Wuesthoff Medical Center in Melbourne, Fla., according to the report, which cites the operator's website.
