Trump proposes 25 percent tariff on all vehicles from the EU

President Donald Trump told attendees at a West Virginia rally Aug. 21 that he plans to impose a 25 percent tariff on all vehicles imported from the European Union, according to CNBC.

Earlier that day, U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross told The Wall Street Journal his office was postponing its timeline to publish a report on automobile tariffs due to ongoing negotiations with Mexico, Canada and the European Commission.  

“We’re going to put a 25 percent tax on every car that comes into the United States from the European Union,” said President Trump, according to CNBC.
