St. Joseph Mercy Health System to Spend $25M on Hospital, Outpatient Center Additions

 

Ann Arbor, Mich.-based St. Joseph Mercy Health System announced that it plans to invest $25 million in adding rooms to St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospital in Howell, Mich., and establishing a short-stay inpatient unit at St. Joseph Mercy Brighton, which is an outpatient health center, according to a Crain’s Detroit Business report.

The health system plans to add 30 private rooms to St. Joseph Mercy Livingston. It also plans to create a 28-bed short-stay unit at St. Joseph Mercy Brighton for patients needing overnight care or up to 48 hours of observation.

The health system is a part of Livonia, Mich.-based CHE Trinity Health, which will fund the project, according to the report.
