A “bronze alert,” issued when an armed individual is on hospital premises, alerted hospital employees to stay in place and avoid the hospital’s waiting room.
Pittsburgh-based Magee-Womens released a statement saying there was no threat to patients, employees or visitors.
The suspect was taken into custody, the Post-Gazette reported.
