California Suit Claims Hospital Denied Physicians Privileges for Starting Rival Facility

In a federal lawsuit, two physicians are claiming that a California hospital refused them privileges because they helped start an intensive-care unit at a rival hospital, according to a report by the Fresno Bee.

Dr. Krishnakumar Rajani and Dr. Stephen Elliott’s lawsuit against Children’s Hospital Central California in Madera refers to their work with a rival ICU at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.

Children’s Hospital denied the allegations, the Fresno Bee reported.
