Belvoir Hospital Opens Treatment Center for Traumatic Brain Injury

The first National Intrepid Center of Excellence satellite center will open next week for patients at Fort Belvoir, Md., according to a report from the Belvoir Eagle.

The center will provide care to military service members and will be the new hub for treatment of traumatic brain injuries at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital. The center will also participate in research and education programs for detection, diagnosis and treatment of traumatic brain injuries.

According to the Eagle, the 25,000-square-foot facility expects to treat approximately 600 service members annually.
