Using video conferencing technology, Newton Medical Center will now be able to connect patients with off-site neurologists for telestroke services. This 24-hour program enables neurologists to diagnose and treat patients quickly. In addition, these “teleneurologists” will be able to provide remote follow-up care.

Newton Medical Center’s teleneurology team is made up of six certified neurology specialists from various U.S. hospitals such as Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio; Swedish Medical Center in Denver; Yale University in New Haven, Conn.; and University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
