Purchase, N.Y.-based Teladoc released its 2016 financial results March 1.
Here are three things to know.
- The company's full-year 2016 revenue was $123.2 million. This represents a growth of 59 percent, compared with fiscal year 2015. The FY 2016 total includes $100.5 million in revenue from subscription access fees and $22.7 million in revenue from visit fees.
- The company experienced a net loss in full-year 2016 operating income. Teladoc reported a net loss of $74.2 million in FY 2016, compared to a net loss of $58 million in FY 2015. In 2016, the company's net loss per basic and diluted share improved to $1.75 from $2.91.
- The company's total membership grew 43 percent in 2016. Total membership climbed to 17.5 million. Teladoc also reported 952,081 total visits in FY 2016, an increase of 65 percent.
Teladoc expects revenue for FY 2017 to be in the range of $180 million to $185 million, with membership totaling roughly 21.5 million to 23 million by Dec. 31, 2017.
