To provide the 24/7 service, Grande Ronde Hospital has partnered with Carena, a Seattle-based virtual healthcare company, according to La Grande Observer. Patients can access Carena's physicians and nurse practitioners through GRH ReadyCare's FaceTime, Skype, mobile app or phone lines.
A GRH ReadyCare appointment, which might include diagnosis, prescription and follow-up appointment scheduling, takes an average of 25 minutes, according to La Grande Observer. Patients accessing the service will be charged a flat fee of $35.
