The luxury carmaker is partnering with Houston Methodist Research Institute to research the biocompatibility of carbon fiber composite materials for use in medical devices, reports Medical Plastic News.
The organizations hope to develop lighter, more resistant device materials the human body can better tolerate, according to the report.
Lamborghini also conducts similar research, among other projects, with numerous research organizations in Italy.
