Walmart employees to deliver online orders on commute home: 4 things to know

Walmart's new pilot program allows employees to make extra money by delivering online orders on their way home from work, reports Bloomberg.

Here are four things to know.

  1. The retailer launched the program in three store locations in New Jersey and Arkansas.

  1. Employees use their own cars to deliver the packages, and Walmart assigns delivery routes based on employees' home location, according to a Thursday blog post from the company.

  1. Walmart did not disclose how the employees would be paid for the deliveries in the post, reports Bloomberg.
