Steris to Acquire Integrated Medical Systems for $165M

Mentor, Ohio-based Steris Corp. has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Birmingham, Ala.-based Integrated Medical Systems International for $165 million, plus $10 million to purchase real estate.

IMS, a surgical and endoscopic device management, repair and sterilization company, will be integrated into Steris’ specialty services business.

Finalization of the acquisition is contingent upon customary closing procedures, such as the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act waiting period. The acquisition is expected to close in Q1 2015.
