Stryker Acquires Pivot Medical

Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Stryker has signed an agreement to acquire Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Pivot Medical in an all-cash transaction for an undisclosed amount.

Pivot Medical specializes in developing devices and technologies for sports medicine and hip arthroscopy procedures.

The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2014.
