Hill-Rom to divest German long-term care bed business: 4 things to know

Hill-Rom Holdings will sell its German hospital bed business, Völker, to a CoBE Capital affiliate.

  1. Völker serves as the primary hospital and long-term bed supplier for the European healthcare market.
  2. The company, which Hill-Rom acquired in 2012, generated $40 million in annual revenue for 2016.
  3. The unnamed CoBe affiliate will take over Völker’s operations and employees at its German headquarters.
  4. Financial terms of the deal — expected to close in the fourth quarter of Hill-Rom’s financial year — were not disclosed.
