B. Braun Medical has launched a “supply assurance program” aimed at strengthening the resilience of the medical device and pharmaceutical supply chain.

The program guarantees 45 days of inventory on hand at key distributor warehouse locations — compared to the typical 24 to 28 days — and maintains additional safety stock at B. Braun’s three U.S. warehouses, according to a Dec. 15 news release. No contracts or additional costs are required for customers.

The initiative covers B. Braun’s full product portfolio, including IV solutions, vascular access devices, pain control products and closed-system transfer devices. By positioning inventory closer to healthcare providers, the company aims to ensure uninterrupted access to critical supplies during periods of high demand or disruption, it said.
