Medline has made several moves in recent weeks, including hospital partnerships and a product recall. 

1. LCMC taps Medline

New Orleans-based LCMC Health selected Medline to provide distribution services and supply chain expertise across its eight hospitals, 10 emergency rooms and eight urgent care centers. 

2. Hunterdon Health taps Medline

Flemington, N.J.-based Hunterdon Health, which operates more than 30 primary and specialty practices across its service area, finalized an agreement with Medline. The system is also implementing Medline’s ReNewal device reprocessing program in its operating room and catheterization lab.

3. Medline recalls left heart vent catheter kits 

Medline has recalled specific kits containing Medtronic DLP Left Heart Catheters after three injuries were reported. Some of the cannulas may not retain their shape, which could cause abrasion or perforation during cardiopulmonary bypass procedures. Facilities were instructed to quarantine and destroy the affected products.

4. Providence, Northwestern to develop AI tool with Medline

Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine and Renton, Wash.-based Providence are partnering with Medline to develop an artificial intelligence-powered supply chain tool. The systems are helping design the tool and will pilot it across their organizations to test its real-world performance.
