Kootenai Health Adopts New Brand

Coeur d’Alene, Idaho-based Kootenai Health announced a new vision, clinical structure and brand.

Kootenai HealthKootenai Health includes Kootenai Medical Center, a 254-bed community-owned hospital, as well as a heart center, clinics and physician practices. Kootenai Health’s vision is to become “the premier regional medical referral center for northern Idaho by 2020,” according to the news release.

As part of this vision, the hospital will take on the name “Kootenai Health” and the system’s 77 employed physicians and their practices will be united under a new structure called Kootenai Clinic. This new organizational structure aims to facilitate a team approach as the physician practices move toward a patient-centered medical home model, according to the news release.

Kootenai Health’s new brand also includes a new logo. The spark logo is designed to show Kootenai’s vision of coordinating care across providers and service lines for better patient care, according to the release.
