Johns Hopkins, Hospital Moinhos de Vento in Brazil Form Partnership

Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine International has signed an affiliation agreement with Hospital Moinhos de Vento of Porto Alegre in Brazil.

The collaboration will promote knowledge transfer and research between the U.S. and Brazilian organizations, in addition to helping HMV enhance clinical care, patient safety and nursing education, according to a news release. Additionally, the partnership will allow HMV patients who require highly complex care access to Johns Hopkins experts and facilities.

Under the agreement, a group of HMV nursing leaders will attend an observership program at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore next month to share best practices concerning training, education and research.
