War Memorial Hospital (Sault Sainte Marie, Mich.). War Memorial Hospital has served Sault Sainte Marie for more than 100 years. The 82-bed acute care hospital also includes a 51-bed long-term care unit, a recently built emergency department, a rehabilitation center and several satellite clinics across the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan. In 2016, the National Rural Health Association named War Memorial Hospital among the Top 20 Rural Community Hospitals and Healthgrades honored it with the Outstanding Patient Experience Award.
