St. Clair Hospital (Pittsburgh). St. Clair Hospital opened its doors in 1954. This 328-bed hospital is an independent hospital with 550 physicians and 2,300 employees serving a population of more than 500,000 in southwestern Pennsylvania. St. Clair is also planning an expansion, as it purchased four parcels of land next to its hospital campus in May. Among other accolades, Truven Health Analytics has named St. Clair Hospital to its list of 100 Top Hospitals three times, most recently in 2014.
