The initial focus of the seven-year partnership will be a “comprehensive technology refresh,” according to a Jan. 14 news release from Sutter Health.
“Imaging and ultrasound solutions, enabled by digital and AI advancements, will be implemented across the entire healthcare system over several years, reducing variation and providing the innovation clinicians need to best serve patients,” the release said.
The partnership is designed to support Sutter Health’s larger expansion plans for growth in specialty care areas such as heart and vascular care, cancer care and neurosciences, and workforce development training and education for technologists, nurses and physicians through Sutter Health University.
GE HealthCare also launched a radiology and biomedical imaging partnership with the University of California San Francisco.
