New York City-based NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue School of Radiologic Technology awarded diplomas to members of its 51st graduating class Dec. 12.
Twenty students completed the 24-month radiologic technology curriculum this semester. All instruction takes place on-site at Bellevue Hospital, where students train in high-acuity clinical environments. Graduates are eligible to apply for American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification and New York state licensure.
Founded in 1972, the school graduated its first class in 1974 and has since trained more than 700 imaging professionals. Forty students are currently enrolled across first- and second-year cohorts.
The program trains students to work in medical imaging roles such as radiologic, mammography, MRI and CT technologists.
