NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health has launched radiology services at numerous outpatient clinics across New York City, the organization said Oct. 30.
The service expansion brings MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray, mammography and DEXA bone density scans directly into high-need areas, improving access to imaging, reducing travel and wait times, and supporting early disease detection and treatment.
NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health anticipates a 20% increase in annual visits (42,500 total) as a result of the new imaging services.
“The addition of radiology services ensures our patients receive accurate and convenient diagnostic care without unnecessary travel or delays,” NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health CEO Michelle Lewis said in an Oct. 30 news release. “This significant investment underscores our unwavering commitment to equitable, patient-focused healthcare throughout New York City.”
NYC Health + Hospitals founded Gotham Health in 2015. The federally-qualified community health center includes 29 neighborhood clinics and six large centers across New York City’s five boroughs.
