Use of Latex Gloves May Impede Hand Hygiene Compliance

Researchers observed more than 7,000 patient in 15 United Kingdom hospitals and found that hand hygiene compliance was lower in instances where gloves were worn, according to a study published in the December issue of Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology.
