The Duke LifePoint Quality Affiliate designation program recognizes hospitals operated by LifePoint subsidiaries that have enrolled in the LifePoint National Quality Program and improved their culture of safety, care quality and patient engagement.
To achieve Duke LifePoint Quality Affiliate designation, RRMC implemented numerous best practices and launched new initiatives to engage patients and families, enhance patient safety and improve quality care, according to a news release. These include daily executive patient safety rounding, bedside shift reporting and enhancing its processes around medication safety.
“Providing safe, high-quality care has always been a top priority at Riverview, and being part of the LifePoint National Quality Program has helped us evolve and think about quality in a different way,” Rod Harkleroad, CEO of RRMC, said in a prepared statement. “Earning this esteemed designation reaffirms our commitment to our patients, their families and the Carthage community, and I’m incredibly proud of our team’s tireless work to help ensure that patients are in the best hands when they are in our care.”
