The hospital installed a solar farm, has more than 65,000 square feet of green roofing and holds a farmer’s market six months out of the year. Johns Hopkins also offers single-stream recycling and pick-up service for battery recycling. In 2017, the hospital received several awards from Practice Greenhealth, including the Partner for Change Award, Greening the OR Recognition Award and Circles of Excellence Award for green building.
