The honorees are:
• Peter Piot, MD, PhD, of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine in the United Kingdom, who will receive the 2017 Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Humanitarian Award
• Myron M. Levine, MD, of Baltimore-based University of Maryland School of Medicine, who will receive the 2017 Maxwell Finland Award for Scientific Achievement
• Thomas M. File Jr., MD, of Akron, Ohio-based Summa Health, who will receive the 2017 John P. Utz Leadership Award
