The Excess Readmission Ratios are based on CMS fee-for-service claims from July 2009 through June 2012, and will be publicly reported on the Hospital Compare website in October. If hospitals suspect an error in their ratio calculations or discharge-level data, they should email CMS_readmissions_reduction@mathematica-mpr.com by July 12, according to the report.
