The Dayton-based hospital closed its doors July 23, 2018. Premier, which owned the hospital, transferred the residents from Good Samaritan to another one of its Dayton hospitals, Miami Valley Hospital, according to the report.
Good Samaritan had 66 residents, 62 of which were funded by Medicare. In 2019, it applied to keep the residency slots, but was approved for just 49 positions this year, according to the Dayton Daily News.
