At its annual meeting and expo in Denver, the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy presented eight awards to healthcare organizations and employees on Sept. 15 in honor of their contributions to the specialty pharmacy industry.
Here are the recipients:
Distinguished Service Award
- Aleata Postell, senior vice president of pharmacy business development at Humana’s CenterWell Pharmacy in Louisville, Ky.
Specialty Pharmacy of the Year
- UW Health in Madison, Wis.
Specialty Pharmacist of the Year
- Joshua Weber, PharmD, senior director of ambulatory, retail and specialty pharmacy services at St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, Idaho
Specialty Pharmacy Technician of the Year
- Mallory Martello, pharmacy technician at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson
Caregiver of the Year
- Emily Eastman, PharmD, associate director of centralized specialty pharmacy services at UK HealthCare in Lexington, Ky.
Manufacturer of the Year
- Pfizer
Strategic Channel Partner of the Year
- Claritas Rx, a software company

- Tuan Nguyen, account specialist at AcariaHealth Specialty Pharmacy
