The plan, called WellFirst Health, will contract with SSM Health physicians, hospitals, and outpatient and virtual care services, as well as other regional providers. The policy will be sold on and off the ACA individual marketplace during this year’s open enrollment period, from Nov. 1 through Dec. 15. Coverage will take effect Jan. 1, 2020.

In addition to WellFirst Health, SSM Health owns and operates insurer Dean Health Plans in Wisconsin. The plan has more than 400,000 members.
