Poll finds 45% of Americans less aware of ACA open enrollment this year

The November Kaiser Health Tracking Poll surveyed Americans about the ACA enrollment period that began Nov. 1.

For the poll, researchers surveyed 1,201 adults between Nov. 8 and Nov. 13.

The poll found three in 10 Americans reported hearing nothing about open enrollment, while three in 10 Americans said they have heard "a little." Twenty-one percent of Americans indicated they have heard "some" and 18 percent indicated they have heard "a lot."

Researchers said 45 percent of Americans also reported they have heard less about the current open enrollment period this year compared to previous years. Thirty-eight percent indicated they have heard "about the same amount." Only 16 percent said they have heard more.
