Lexington-based Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Kentucky named Kennan Wethington president effective Oct. 16, according to The Lane Report.
As president, Mr. Wethington will manage Anthem's commercial operations in Kentucky and act as the primary contact for state regulators.
Mr. Wethington was regional vice president of sales for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Kentucky for the past 11 years, the report states. He joined Anthem in 2003 after practicing law for seven years.
Mr. Wethington succeeds Deb Moessner, who retired from her tenure at Anthem.
