Anne Arundel Medical Center, CareFirst end contract spat

Annapolis, Md.-based Anne Arundel Medical Center and CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield in Baltimore inked a three-year in-network contract Aug. 4.

Last month, AAMC said it would terminate its contract with CareFirst if the parties failed to resolve a feud over reimbursement rates by Sept. 30.

The new contract, effective Sept. 1, ensures CareFirst members’ care at AAMC will continue undisrupted.
