1. AHA: UnitedHealth report on steep specialty drug costs lets drugmakers off the hook
The American Hospital Association has called UnitedHealth's recent report on specialty drug spending in hospitals and independent practices "flawed," arguing that the authors fail to account for critical differences between care settings and fail to consider that drugmakers are the "chief culprit" in rising drug costs.

2. Hearing over $21M in alleged unpaid BCBS claims to Texas hospital postponed
A hearing scheduled for Sept. 10 regarding a Texas hospital's temporary restraining order against Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas has been pushed back.

3. Indiana hospital, Anthem caught in contract dispute

4. Anthem reinstates rates for autism treatment after controversy
Anthem is restoring rates for autism therapies in Indiana it decreased in July. The reverse comes after a news station investigated how Anthem's adjusted fee schedule for Applied Behavioral Analysis would affect some behavioral health providers.

Hospital leaders and patient advocates in Missouri launched an initiative to get Medicaid expansion on the state's 2020 ballot.

6. Cigna, claims processor settle chiropractor lawsuits for $20M           
Cigna and its third-party claims administrator American Specialty Health agreed to a $20 million settlement that resolves two lawsuits concerning payment for chiropractic care.
