Nearly 3 in 5 Americans believe their insurance should better cover mental healthcare, including therapy visits, according to a ValuePenguin survey released Jan. 3.
ValuePenguin, a financial research and analysis website, surveyed 2,100 people online between Dec. 9 and Dec. 13.
The survey found the remaining 2 in 5 Americans reported being very satisfied with their current mental health coverage.
Lowering copays, better coverage of virtual therapy and expanding in-network providers topped the list of what members said would improve their mental health coverage.
