5 health plans make ‘Civic 50’ list of community-minded companies

Global nonprofit Points of Light named five health plans to its annual list of the most community-minded companies in the U.S.

Points of Light’s “Civic 50” honors public and private firms with operations and revenues of $1 billion or more. The 50 companies featured are rated on four performance measurements: investment of resources, integration across business functions, institutionalization through policies and systems and impact measure.

Here are the five health plans that made the list:

1. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana

2. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts

3. Health Care Service Corporation

4. Tufts Health Plan

5. UnitedHealth Group
