Officials at Capital Blue Cross in Allendale, Pa., recently celebrated the completion of a $4 million building renovation project, which includes a ground-floor wellness center.
The office, which opened Dec. 3, has a Capital Blue Cross Connect center on its ground floor, which provides wellness services, health plan consultations, health coaching, screenings and seminars for members and non-members, according to a news release.
The new Connect center is the insurer's second in the region.
"We're so happy to play our part in the redevelopment of the Lehigh Valley's largest city," said Anne Baum, Capital Blue Cross Lehigh Valley president. "Our commitment to this community's health and well-being continues to grow, and this unique Connect center provides an open, flowing space to meet a broad variety of the community's health plan and wellness needs."
